About Nistru Food
From memories by the Dnister to Nordic shop shelves.
Nataliia and Kevin founded Nistru Food to make the flavours of Ukraine and Eastern Europe more accessible across the Nordic countries.
Our story
Nistru Food was born from both longing and curiosity.
We missed many Ukrainian delicacies from home and wanted to make them available to Ukrainians across the Nordic countries. At the same time, we saw an opportunity for local shoppers to discover a food culture rich in bold flavours, familiar ingredients and remarkable variety.
Nataliia grew up in a village beside the Dnister river in Ukraine. Memories of family, community and favourite foods by the river are at the heart of the brand.
What we do today
Nistru Food is a wholesaler, importer, distributor and franchise operator. We work with grocery shops, restaurants, cafés and distributors that want to build a stronger range of Ukrainian and Eastern European food.
We are also behind Kalynonka, our retail chain and franchise concept, which makes Ukrainian food more accessible and creates meeting places centred on Ukrainian culture.

Who are we?
Nataliia
CEO & Owner
Nataliia leads Nistru Food’s strategic work. She decides the range, develops relationships with our suppliers and leads the company’s marketing.
Kevin
Chief Operating Officer & Owner
Kevin is responsible for day-to-day operations. He leads the warehouse team, looks after our customers and manages the company’s financial and legal matters.
Nikolas
Head of HR
Nikolas makes sure everyone on the team stays in good spirits.
